Alastair studied illustration at Bath Academy of Art in the UK from 1979 to 1983 and has been working mainly as a freelance illustrator ever since. In 2006 he moved to Western Australia, though thanks to the wonders of the wobbly web he continues to work for many UK clients as if nothing had happened.
George Onions and Pascal Imrie are not, strictly speaking, real people at all - they are just Alastair working in different styles. You would think, as he created them, that he would have a lot more control over their behaviour.
